Today is LOVE day. It is the day that many people around the world celebrate their love for their significant other. For some, the idea of being single can be overwhelming as another year goes by without and potential possibilities of love in the near future. If this is you; it is time to learn ways to enjoy your life without being in a relationship. It is possible to live your best life without the validation of a date on LOVE day. Below I have a highlighted a few simple ways to live your best SINGLE life now!
Be Comfortable with You
Being comfortable in the skin that you are in is the first step in living your best single life. Let me remind you of Psalm 139:14 “I will praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful (NIV).” And I am the work of my Father’s hands! Being comfortable with you includes embracing the woman in the mirror, appreciating every curve and owning every decision that you have ever made – the good and not so good decision.
Explore the world
Once you learn to enjoy the freedom and happiness of embracing the woman in the mirror, it is not time for you to start LIVING! Get a passport and start to live a life beyond your zip code. Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Bahamas, Belize, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Granada, Aruba, Honduras, is just a short list of the countries that I have been blessed to have visited. Why, because I am not afraid to travel even if I have to travel alone! I know it sounds crazy, but God has and will continue to protect me! So make this the year to get your passport and step on soil that you have never stepped on before. If you cannot go abroad, get a plane or take a long ride to explore what life has to over outside of your zip code.
Know Your Purpose and Live Out Your Vision
I am going to preach this to the mountain-top! When you know your purpose, the people that you are called to serve, you have a completely different perspective on life. This year, single, married or engaged, I am challenging everyone to serve their purpose and live out their vision. As single women (or men) we have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of so many individuals. Living your best single life now includes not settling for a mediocre life. I will not define what a mediocre life is, because we all have a different perspective of what they may be. Allow purpose to wake you up, allow purpose to lead your day, allow purpose to motivate you into fulfilling your vision.
It is TIME to start living
It is time to live your best single life NOW! And I mean NOW! Listen we can always make more money or lose more weight. Over the past 4 years, the one thing that I learned is that we do not have a lot of TIME! At a single moment, our lives can be taken away. We do not know the day or the hour when God will choose to take our time away. This is the year to do something different, this is the year to commit to your commitments. This is the year to step out on faith and START doing what God has called you to do! Now is the time to live your best single life NOW!

Happy Valentine’s Day Tiffany & thank you for your blog today,
My husband & I separated in December 2017 and we are heading to divorce court. Last year (2018) was a bit hard for me because he & I had been together for 13 yrs and had never been apart from one another. By the the middle of 2018 I shook myself off and said “I’m done, I’m good and I will be fine, no cigarettes & smoke, no more alcoholic nights ( he’s an alcoholic) no more negativity from his family.” and I have my peace of mind and solitude again. I began to focus on the positives of being separated like, no negativity, no disrespect, no blaming myself and I took one last cry and began to look forward from there. I decided to put my attention on continuing my weight loss journey and becoming healthier, as well as getting my mind & my inner spirit clear and begin to mend my broken heart, even my skin & hair was becoming healthier ( until other immediate family issues arrived & that’s a total other story to tell) Now looking forward, I’ve filed for divorce, and now my future plans are as follows;
1. Create a savings account 2019 ( done and savings account is growing)
2. Get back on track with my weight loss and healthier living journey
3. Build a better relationship with God and find a church home ( I think God has place one on my heart to attend)
4. Work on a new me inside & out
5. Create a new wardrobe
6. Go on a mini vacation ( alone)
7. Let my 20 year old daughter deal with growing up on her own & deal with her own mental health & sexual identity issues on her own.
8. Let my family members go and not get into their issues anymore and love them from afar.
9. Figure out how to financially get the “Stem Cell” treatments for a better physical quality of life with little or no arthritis pains
10. Plan my Hawaii vacation trip for my 60th birthday in December 2021
11. Plan my financial independence

Awesome post sis!!! Thanks for sharing…. This year I am dedicated to living my best life, being transparent about who I am, where I am and what I need. I am committed to re-cooperating everything that I have lost over the past two years, i.e savings account and negative energy. I am committed to having a savings account and checking account and I am committed to loving more and getting more stamps on my PASSPORT!!!!! I am very much committed to forgiving people who will never be sorry and forgiving myself. Lastly, I am committed to growing my business and obtaining my LCSW!!!!! I plan to laugh MORE!!!
Thank you for sharing Angel! Yes, ma’am transparency is the KEY!!! I tell people all the time that I am not PERFECT!! I have made MANY mistakes, but now it is time for me to forgive myself and MOVE forward to what God has for me! I am praying that God grants you much success this year and years to come!! Go Angel Go!!!!!!!
Totally agree Tiffany! After experiencing illness last year, I truly realize how short life is! Planning to travel the the DR later this year, work my business more, and spend more time with family and friends. God has been and still is sooo good to me and I praise Him for EVERYTHING!!
Enjoy your trip this year DR, I was there a few years back! Yes, God is good and his mercy endureth forever!! #Blessings Trae!
Hi Sis what a wonderful wonderful blog so proud of your past accomplishments & your goals are phenomenal too!!! I must say I have to forgive myself for goals not yet accomplished. Yet I declare with the power of God as my source of strength I won’t allow that to continue to hinder me.
As you know I’m not single anymore. I had to learn how to make that transition because I was use to being single & independent for so long. Thank God for a wonderful & patient husband who understood that.
Additionally, I struggled with the onset of menopause & still do plus fibroids to go along with it. So not fun. Menapause can be a very long & drawn out process that many are not aware of or understand. It is very real for some. It hasn’t been easy for me yet it hasn’t been as bad as it is for others. Once again my husband has been very patient & understanding which is so necessary in marriage. So for that I’m very grateful.
As for goals I’m praying & open to hear what God wants me to do in addition to my own personal desires which are many. Working on my vision board as with God’s direction for business as well as personal goals with my hubby. With all that being said…my main goal is to not continue to waste precious time because it is such a gift!!!!
Hey sis, thank you so much for sharing! You are so blessed to have a “hubby” that understands you and is patient with you! As always, I am praying for you sis as you pray about God’s will for your life! And I totally agree with you we have no time or oil to waste! Love you dearly!
